Viral videos seem to be the latest craze for online marketers. Why? Because they have the ability to work amazingly in today's technological world; they are simple; cost-effective and best of all- they reach all sorts of people, very quickly, at no extra cost. We all love a bit of good ROI.
They work like this- Consumers watch the video, and if it's good enough, nine times out of ten they will tell friends, members of family, colleagues (you name it) all about it; like it's exciting news. This then gets passed on and on and on. And on. It can spread like wildfire; and with the right elements, it's infectious.

In my opinion, I believe that Honda make the best car adverts out there. This video in particular went viral due to the fact it still remains to intrigue everytime; it glues you to the delicate process all the way until it's finished which can only mean one thing- if they can put this much detail into their adverts, their cars must be great, surely.
This video was made to try and push Quicksilver as a brand in Scandinavia. However, it ended up being viewed over 10 million times worldwide. It must be the mad mix of surfing and a dynamite bomb. They shouldn't go together but here they do. Who said you need a beach for the waves...
This video may slightly alarm you in terms of what we are exposed to on a daily basis. It may also question your belief in marketing truths. But it's also unquestionably interesting and Dove make a very good point.
In all honesty, this viral is a bit silly. But that's why we love it- it's outrageous and it's catchy. Taking the famous 'Carmina Burana' and using it for beer in a karaoke fashion shouldn't work well together- but it somehow does.
